SHANGHAI, Aug 4 (SMM) – The coefficient of NMC battery scrap was high with increases this week, and the pole piece coefficient was also above 180%, due to the falling prices of nickel metal and cobalt metal. Traders raising the coefficient was partly accountable. In addition, the traders, when source scrap from the battery factories, raised the prices in order to be able to seize the first opportunity; and the prices were even higher when it came to the smelters, they potential buyers of these scrap. Currently, the smelters purchase cautiously amid excessively high prices and consume their inventory first.
